Typically an organisation will come to zell consulting when it needs to implement a process to gather evidence to assess a group of individuals in either a selection process or a development process. Organisations are usually trying to understand how an individual will perform when faced with a situation where they will need to demonstrate certain behaviours.

zell consulting will and have always advocated that the assessment/development centre technique will provide examples of how people react and perform when faced with certain challenges, however the outcome of the assessment/development centre should not be reviewed in isolation and should be taken into account with other techniques i.e. psychometric profiling and criteria based interviewing. zell consulting would also recommend the use of occupational psychologists to interrupt psychometric data.

Where assessment/development centre techniques do work well is when the exercises incorporated in the centres simulate the actual work environment. This is where zell consulting really adds value in that we are expert in developing simulations, which closely reflect your organisation and provide the platform for gathering evidence of the behaviours that your organisation expects to see in the people that work for you.
